Welcome to Vlieland! Our beautiful island is renowned for its unspoiled nature and true tranquility. Here, you can enjoy the cleanest sandy beaches and discover stunning walking routes or take a delightful bike ride through the forests and dunes around Oost-Vlieland. For bird watchers, Vlieland is a paradise with more than 200 bird species, which can be admired from the bird hide in the Kroon's Polders. With clean air and often better weather than on the mainland, Vlieland is the perfect destination to completely unwind.

From Het Eiland, the island lies at your feet. Walk, cycle, stroll, wander, beachcomb... whatever you do, you do it at your own pace here. You can of course find your own way around the island with an app or a map from the VVV (opposite the ferry). Or follow, for example, the 'Rondje Eiland' cycling route. This approximately 20-kilometer long route takes you past various beautiful spots on the island.
